First Overnight Sail

We made our way to Morro Bay and had our first over night sail. We have put away toys, food, bed stuff, books, the dinghy and maps. I slept in the cockpit with my dad because I get seasick when I am down below when we are out at sea. We saw small dolphins called porpoises, sea otters, sea lions, jellyfish and other fish. The water is not totally clear yet, but we could still see underneath.

My birthday was yesterday and we had donuts for breakfast. We had lunch and watched the 49er game at a restaurant. Then we went out to dinner where we had sushi.
Tonight we are barbecuing sliders on our little grill.

This is me on my birthday on the way to Morro Bay.

J.P. is asleep. He is a great sailor!

The sea otters and sea lions were our neighbors in Monterey.

Bye-Bye!!...from Mickey

Every trip starts with a begining. This is us sailing from Emeryville, underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, and our destination was Half Moon Bay.
In Half Moon Bay, we anchored out, fired up the dinghy, went to land and had dinner.
One year earlier we buried a one dollar bill on a sandy beach under a rock. We decided to try and find the one dollar bill. When we lifted up the rock we saw a TWENTY DOLLAR BILL!!!!!
Here is a picture of us sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge:
Now we are in Santa Cruz. Hopefully we will sail to Monterey later today.
Bye Bye!!!
